Dennis Franklin (BA 75), is the founder and managing director of Siena Global Securities, a FINRA-registered broker dealer in Oakland, CA. While attending college, he worked as a part-time cameraman and a production assistant at the ABC Television Network, which included covering the 1972 Munich Olympics and numerous ABC Sports telecasts.
Dennis worked for 14 years with Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently as vice president in the Wealth Management Division managing more than $400 million in assets while helping develop strategic alternatives for Fortune 100 clients.
Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of business development for HitHive, a digital media distribution company in Seattle, where he worked with a product development team to provide a robust distribution platform to wireless service providers and their mobile devices on a global basis.
Dennis earned his juris doctorate at the University of Washington School Of Law and served in the U.S. Navy for eight years, and was a Naval Special Warfare Officer (SEAL).
He is a recent member of the board of directors of the Enterprise for High School Students (San Francisco), a non-profit employment service for youth. Dennis resides in Oakland and is married and has one son.
