Criteria:
Purposes of this fund will be to award a scholarship to a current student, preferably one interested in community journalism, for: internship pay at a weekly newspaper for a journalism student; one-day career workshop for students with an area weekly newspaper; a fall high school journalism camp at WSU; and funds may also be used for improving the journalism computer lab.
The dean of Murrow College will provide Pioneer Newspapers Inc. and the Development Office with a written report that reflects how students benefitted from these funds during the current academic year.
