I am a Seattle-based communications and public relations professional with 24 years of experience supporting some of the largest, most complex, nonprofit health care organizations in Washington state. My areas of expertise include media relations, issue management, crisis response, corporate communications, strategic communications planning, social media, video coordination, project management and event planning. Over the last two decades, I have developed strong working relationships with print, broadcast and online journalists throughout the Greater Puget Sound region, Washington state, the Pacific Northwest and around the country. I have solid writing, editing and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking, creativity and a can-do attitude are among my strongest attributes. Other strengths include excellent judgment, being calm under pressure, and a broad knowledge of the health care and medical device industries. This rich mix of experience allows me to successfully mine, craft, pitch, place and leverage compelling stories in mainstream and trade media outlets. I am a Seattle native, father of two college-age kids, proud alumnus of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communications and a graduate of Seattle University’s Executive Leadership Program.
