Jeff Hite is Director of Recruiting and Training for KHQ Incorporated and Cowles Montana Media. Including SWX-TV, their ownership group has 12 stations all over Montana and Washington State. Previously Jeff was Assistant News Director at KHQ, overseeing the day-to-day functions of the newsroom, including daily story selection and many of the technical aspects of the newscasts. Jeff was born and raised in Spokane and has been at KHQ for more than 30 years. He started at KHQ as a photographer, then Chief Photographer, News Operations Manager, Executive Producer, then into his current role. Jeff has won awards along the way, including Edward R Murrow awards for a special on Spokane’s Serial Killer and for coverage of the downtown Spokane backpack bomber – and he’s won an Emmy award for coverage of the Washington State wildfires. When he’s not working, Jeff enjoys time at the lake!
