Nia Wong joined the 4 News Now team as an evening anchor and investigative reporter in August 2019. She comes to the Lilac City by way of Sin City, having spent three years as the weekend morning anchor and morning reporter for the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her first steps in journalism started in high school where she would hang out backstage at indie rock/punk concerts in Southern California, photographing bands and eventually reporting for a now defunct music magazine.

She strengthened her journalism skills at U.C. Irvine as the Associate Entertainment Editor of the campus paper, The New University and graduated with a B.A. in Literary Journalism.

Nia is a originally from the San Francisco Bay area but has lived abroad in the United Kingdom and South Korea. Her broadcasting career has taken her to Oregon, the California Central Coast, Southern Nevada and now to Spokane, where she is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest.

When she’s not practicing yoga, her ukulele or curled up at home with her cat Pascal, you can catch Nia exploring festivals across Eastern Washington.
