As a career-long communications and public relations professional, I bring more than 25 years of experience supporting some of the largest, most complex, nonprofit health-care organizations in Washington state. My areas of expertise include strategic communications planning, issue management, crisis response, media relations, internal communications, social media, script writing, video production, project management, event planning and community benefit management. I have strong writing, editing, speaking and presentation skills. Strategic thinking, creativity, counseling skills and a can-do attitude are among my most valuable attributes. Other strengths include excellent judgement, being calm under pressure and a broad knowledge of the health-care industry. Over the last two-plus decades, I have developed strong working relationships with print, broadcast and online journalists throughout the Greater Puget Sound region, Washington state, the Pacific Northwest and around the country. This broad experience allows me to be a valuable resource. I am a Seattle native, father of two 20-year-old kids, proud alumnus of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communications and a graduate of Seattle University’s Executive Leadership Program.
