Andy Hurst is a producer with NPR affiliate KUOW Public Radio in Seattle, Washington. He produces interviews and stories for KUOW’s local presentation of All Things Considered.
Previously, he was a producer for The Record, KUOW’s daily midday news magazine. He’s filled a variety of roles over the last decade at the station, including acquired content producer and midday announcer.
He’s covered a wide range of issues throughout his career, with a focus on public health and the social safety net. He’s produced in-depth interviews on homelessness, affordable housing, heroin addiction, suicide prevention, and disability access.
He began his career at Northwest Public Radio in Pullman, Washington, where he was the producer and local host for Weekend Edition.
