Although she has been working in the industry for three years, Mary Alice Royse Ginther has found a way to make a significant impact thanks to everything she learned at WSU! When she attended WSU, Ginther studied Broadcast Production and was a member of Cable 8 Productions. She also worked for the Daily Evergreen and KUGR for a short period. During her senior year, Ginther accepted a part-time remote Digital Content Producer position at KREM 2 in Spokane, WA. While in that role, she learned about social media’s power and its role in news. After graduation, Ginther accepted a job as a Content Producer at WSMV in Nashville, TN. While in that role, Ginther fostered relationships with many local officials and celebrities (Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton, and Garth Brooks, to name a few). She wrote web stories, coordinated breaking news stories, and more in that role. In November 2022, Ginther accepted a job as a Digital Content Producer at WSB-TV in Atlanta, GA, one of the top news stations in the country. Like her Nashville role, Ginther writes web stories and coordinates breaking news. Recently, her biggest story has been reporting on the indictment of Donald Trump in Fulton County, GA.
