Scholarly Assistant ProfessorMargaret Ritsch is an award-winning, accredited public relations professional with a 25-year track record of helping businesses and nonprofits strengthen important relationships and build their reputations.
At Texas Christian University she developed a student ad/pr firm that gave students real-world, hands-on experience and launched many successful careers. While teaching at TCU she earned a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership. She has held leadership positions at agencies in both Texas and Washington, D.C.; and at a large public housing authority and a major science museum in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dr. Ritsch began her career as a newspaper reporter in Virginia after earning a master’s in journalism and certificate in African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the PRSA College of Fellows, which is the gold standard of public relations professionals. College of Fellows is an honorary organization comprised of more than 350 educators and practitioners, each of whom has left a significant footprint on the public relations profession.
She is married to Fritz Ritsch and has two children in their 20s.
