I transferred to Washington State specifically to study at the Murrow College in 2007. Among all of my school choices, being a Coug felt like being at home. While as a student at WSU majoring in Broadcast Production and minoring in English, I had the opportunity to intern at CNN, Headline News Channel, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. After graduating from the Murrow College, I moved back home to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. I worked as the assistant to the President of a small boutique talent agency, the assistant an actor/comedian, wrote comedy, produced a weekly stand-up comedy show at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, and worked on the production or development staff of a few television shows including: Seasons 19 & 20 of The Power Rangers, Kid Pitch on Fox Sports Net, Storage Wars, Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers, and several other pilots that unfortunately never saw the light of day. I also was the sole producer for one of the first celebrity driven podcast networks in Sideshow Network. I produced podcasts for George Lopez, Tommy Chong, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jeff Dunham and others. I left the entertainment industry after a few years to go back to school. I went to Georgetown University to study Sports Business, Finance, and Economics. I worked as an administrator and fundraiser at four different NCAA Division I athletics departments including: California State University, Northridge, Georgetown University, University of California, Riverside, and University of California, Berkeley. I currently work as a professional fundraiser and own a fundraising consulting firm – Heiss Consulting Group. I am also a licensed Realtor® in the State of California. I can’t wait to meet fellow Cougs and help them find their place in the professional world.
