Adam Hineline was born and raised in Bellevue, WA, before heading to Washington State University. He graduated from WSU in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and was also a football team member. Since graduating, he and his wife Kim and their four children have settled in the greater Seattle area.

Hineline currently works at Microsoft, leading a team of business analysts focused on understanding and optimizing customer journeys across first-party digital storefronts (Microsoft.com, Xbox, and the Microsoft Store on Windows). He started his career in broadcast media at King5 television in Seattle and has spent more than twelve years in the analytics field. He previously worked at GoDaddy leading the strategic digital marketing analytics team, and he held various consulting roles at MSN and Xbox teams before joining the Microsoft Consumer Sales Organization (CSO), where he has spent the last 7+ years.

In addition, to various technical certifications, Hineline earned a Master of Science in Strategic Communications with a Concentration in Technology Law and Policy at Arkansas State University and is working on a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Data Analytics from Louisiana State University. He is passionate about helping young folks in their career who are interested in exploring opportunities in Analytics, especially those with non-traditional degrees interested in the field.
