Ben Wineman is the evening news anchor for NonStop Local, located in Missoula, Montana. Since 2018, he has anchored the award-winning statewide newscast, helping deliver quality and entertaining journalism to Big Sky Country.
The Edward R. Murrow award recipient was named the Montana Broadcaster of the Year in 2024 and 2025 for his anchoring and journalism. Along with numerous Northwest Emmy nominations, Ben has won over a dozen journalism awards from the Montana Broadcasters Association during his career in the Treasure State.
He contributes to the award-winning story franchise “Help Me Ben”, which helps Montanans across the state with everyday issues, questions, and consumer-advocate journalism. Since beginning the franchise in 2021, Ben and his HMB have “helped” over 200 Montanans through their work.
Ben started his broadcast journalism career in 2016, becoming a sports anchor for NonStop Local KTMF in Missoula, Montana. He covered the Montana Grizzlies, local high school sports, and minor league baseball. He was a finalist for the Montana Sports Broadcaster of the Year in 2017.
Ben is a 2016 graduate of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication with honors, and holds three minor degrees in Political Science, History, and Sports Management. He was born and raised in Woodinville, Washington, and is a huge fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks.
Ben and his wife Ashley live in Missoula, where they are raising their daughter Quinn, and son Luke.
