David started his journey at WSU in 2015, and immediately got involved on campus. As a sophomore, he joined the WSU Student Entertainment Board as the Films Programmer. After focusing on advertising strategy to break attendance records for the SEB Films program, he was promoted to the organization’s Director of Marketing position and maintained the role for two years. There he would lead event campaigns for the organization’s 200+ annual events, including Cougfest 2017 with Aminé, Springfest 2018 with Playboi Carti and Billie Elish, and the 2019 Beauty in Strange Places Art Exhibition. His work led to his recognition at the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Multicultural Student Program in NYC, a program that highlights the top 50 advertising students across the nation. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Theta and joined the university’s National Student Advertising Competition chapter in 2018. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication in May 2019, David joined Wieden+Kennedy NY as a Strategy Resident. He now works across Bud Light, Ford and Delta Airlines brand teams, assisting with research and strategic planning.
