An experienced newsroom leader, Megan is a three-time Emmy Award-winning writer, producer, and creative storyteller who encourages those around her to do and be their best. With nearly 20 years of newsroom experience in a variety of roles, Megan has the skills to find a story, track down the right voices, and craft the sound bites and written word in an engaging way for the viewer. As media and technology are ever evolving, she understands the needs to build relationships via digital channels for a multigenerational audience. Megan is passionate about television producing and encouraging students to take a look at the newsroom from behind the camera and how those roles influence and make a difference to the stories told in front of the camera.

As a University of Idaho graduate (Go Vandals!), she has experience in both print and broadcast journalism. Megan started her career in Boise at KTRV Fox 12 News at Nine before heading to Seattle. She spent more than 10 years working for the Seattle Channel, the municipal station for the City of Seattle. Most recently, she was the Editorial Director for KCTS, the PBS affiliate in Seattle. Currently, she is the Senior Public Information Officer for Seattle Information Technology at the City of Seattle.
