As a VP of Entertainment Communications for CBS, Katie Barker is in charge of creating, developing and implementing strategic publicity campaigns for new and returning television shows. Currently, she oversees brand management for the #1 franchise on-air, “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “NCIS: New Orleans,” as well as the long-running hit reality series “Survivor.”
Over the last decade with CBS, she has worked on dramas, comedies, reality and late night programming. Her work covers the gamut of the traditional media landscape as well as inventive social media campaigns across multi-platforms.
Prior to CBS, Katie worked at mPRm Public Relations and BWR Public Relations, where her clients included television networks and original programing, special events, philanthropic foundations, corporate communications and home entertainment.
In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, hiking and anything by the water. She is a proud Washington State University alumna…Go Cougs!. She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband, Sean, and their two daughters.
