Criteria:
The income from this endowment will be used to recruit, retain and recognize students in good academic standing who will major in or are currently enrolled in the Murrow College. Preference will be given to multicultural incoming freshmen students. Freshmen students who remain in good academic standing will be eligible to retain this scholarship for up to four years, contingent upon a demonstrated progression toward degree completion. Annually scholarship recipients will be announced in conjunction with the Edward R. Murrow Symposium. In any given year, this scholarship may be made available to the greater university scholarship fund in the event that a suitable communication student cannot be identified.

History:
The Scott family Scholarship Endowment in Communication was established in 1997 to recognize communication students in good standing who share the Scott’s interest in the field of communication. Pat is a 1967 graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication. His career began with Fisher Broadcasting, Inc. He now serves as the corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
