One or more scholarships will be awarded to students in the Edward R. Murrow School [College] of Communication.
History
If it wasn’t for WSU, Norma and Pat would have never met. Thanks to one of Norma’s sorority sisters who set them up on a blind date in 1989. Pat is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and knew that if this relationship was to continue he would need to be a Cougar very quickly!
Pat and Norma were very blessed that their parents could afford to pay for their college education. As they say, “our job was to get good grades and graduate,” and Norma did just that by earning a degree from the School of Communication. By establishing this scholarship in the School of Communication it is their hope that a student who needs help to attend WSU will be able to concentrate on their studies and graduate.
Even after graduating, Norma continues to support the college in a number of ways, including her advocacy for upgraded technical equipment within the college.
