Lauren is a second-generation Coug who grew up in Pullman. She earned a Mediation Certificate from the University of Idaho in 2004 and a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from the WSU Edward R. Murrow College of Communication in 2009. Upon graduation, Lauren worked in property management holding three progressively responsible positions in as many years.

In 2013, Lauren joined the College of Arts and Sciences Office of the Dean at Washington State University and has held positions at both the unit and college level. In 2018, she played a central role in the formation and launch of the new School of Languages, Cultures, and Race and revitalized the WSU Art for Social Change Competition by adding a showcase and reception component in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts to feature student submissions in the public art gallery and provide an outlet for WSU and local community engagement.

Currently, Lauren serves as the development and scholarship coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences where her primary role is to assist the college and their academic units in their scholarship and fellowship endeavors. One of her favorite parts of being a Murrow alum is the chance to give back by serving as a Murrow Mentor. To date, she has mentored 6 Murrow students and looks forward to many more!
