History

The Bowers Beidleman Scholarship was founded by two recent WSU graduates who met through coursework and extracurricular activities in The Edward R. Murrow School of Communication. Through their experiences, they both developed a strong desire to enter the communications field and became good friends through common involvements. During the late hours of working on a final project for their capstone public relations course, they vowed to start a scholarship after graduation. The Bowers Beidleman scholarship aims to provide financial assistance and, more importantly, professional assistance and mentorship to a student with a strong desire to pursue a career in communications.
