Biography
As assistant to the dean of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, Deana Penton also provides administrative support to the associate dean and the department chairs. She manages schedules, visitors, meetings, travel, and communication from the Dean’s Office to College faculty and staff. She also assists with search committees for faculty and special events for the College. In addition, Penton is the liaison to the Murrow Professional Advisory Board and coordinates its bi-annual meetings. She joined the College in 2011.
Outside of work, Penton spends time with her husband, Scott, two children, two grandchildren, and her dog, Zorro.
