I worked for 40 years in the marketing communications industry. I started in radio news, sales and DJ work, and then moved into public relations working for several businesses. After gaining valuable professional experience with businesses, I started my own public relations business. I wrote and publications and news releases and organized events. For the last 12 years of my career, I owned a business that published a regional wedding and event magazine, produced wedding shows and workshops, and operated several websites.
Since selling my business in 2018, I been volunteering. I served as the chair for Ballet Northwest’s 50th anniversary gala; we raised $50,000 during 2020 in the midst of a pandemic! Ballet Northwest is the oldest dance company in the state. I also managed a branding campaign for a non-profit. Today I’m leading a lakes committee to educate lake property owners about lake ecology, and we are forming a lake management district.
