Molly Schotzko directs strategic marketing for Washington State University system-wide. She is currently leading the development of a contemporary brand platform under the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Her role includes brand management, providing brand and marketing leadership direction, and strategic planning. During her 14+ year career at WSU, Molly has proven she can lead successful marketing and communications campaigns and strategies for an array of audiences. Her energy, optimism, and passion for WSU have enabled her to continually tackle complex problems. Whether inspiring students to live a more healthy and active lifestyle, helping donors realize philanthropic purpose through award-winning campaigns, recruiting future Cougs, or creating strategies and stories to promote an agricultural commodity internationally—she finds joy in the challenge of communicating a message to serve the greater good. Molly is a proud alumna of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication (B.A. emphasis public relations, 2005), and the College of Education (M.A. Education, emphasis sport management, 2008). She is a four-time letter winner in cross country and track and field, former Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, and earned academic honors. Molly enjoys staying active by running with friends or taking evening walks. She’s an Ironman triathlete who enjoys a good backyard barbecue and values time with family and friends. Molly and her husband Tim are dedicated parents to their daughter Hudson (2.5).
