Affiliate Information  



Individuals are invited to affiliate with the Center provided they meet the following membership criteria:

  • Aspects of each member’s research should demonstrate a clear and continuing connection to health promotion and the mission of the Center;
  • Each member is expected to participate in / contribute to Center-wide initiatives to the best of his or her ability.
  • Each member will submit an annual report to the Center summarizing:
    • A list of all publications, scholarly or creative productivity directly related to the activities of the Center during the preceding calendar year.
    • A list of all graduate students, postdoctoral appointments, visiting scientists, scholars and artists associated with the unit during the preceding calendar year.
    • A list of all those using the unit’s services and resources including WSU employees and their departments; and non-WSU people and their company or association.
    • Projects active/completed /proposed/in development relevant to media and health promotion (please specify if a project was extramurally funded)

Individuals interested in applying for membership in the Center should submit a statement of interest that communicates:

  • How aspects of the individual’s research connects to health promotion and the mission of the Center
  • The individual’s commitment to participation in Center-related initiatives to the best of his or her ability;
  • The individual’s commitment to abide by Center bylaws and policies;
  • Existing/planned projects relevant to the mission of the Center;
  • Existing/planned extramural funding for projects relevant to the mission of the Center.

These reports will form the basis for the Center’s accountability reports to the University’s Research & Arts committee.

Applications for membership will be reviewed by the Center’s advisory board.

Individuals are invited to affiliate with a specific research core of the Center provided they meet the membership criteria of that research core. Applications for membership in research cores will be reviewed by the research core’s governing body.

Individuals are invited to affiliate with the Consortium for the Study of Communication & Decision Making research core provided they meet the following membership criteria:

  • Each member’s research should demonstrate a clear and continuing connection to the mission and goals of the Consortium as set forth in the bylaws;
  • Each member is expected to participate in / contribute to Consortium initiatives to the best of his or her ability.
  • Each member will submit an annual report to the Consortium summarizing:
    • Related research activities
    • Center-related facilities used
    • Graduate and undergraduate students mentored relevant to the Consortium’s mission
    • Projects active/completed /proposed/in development relevant to the Consortium (please specify if a project was extramurally funded)

Individuals interested in applying for membership in the Consortium should submit a statement of interest that communicates:

  • How the individual’s research connects to the mission of the Consortium;
  • The individual’s commitment to participation in Consortium initiatives to the best of his or her ability;
  • The individual’s commitment to abide by Consortium bylaws and policies;
  • Existing/planned projects relevant to the mission of the Consortium;
  • Existing/planned extramural funding for projects relevant to the mission of the Consortium.

Applications for membership will be reviewed by the Consortium’s governing board.
